Cricoteka invites you to an exhibition of Tadeusz Kantor (1915-1990) and Maria Stangret (b. 1929), wife of the artist, painter, since 1956 a member of the team Cricot 2 and the leading actress of the theater, who has accompanied Kantor for many years in his artistic struggle and voyages.

The unknown to polish audience, reconstructions of stage objects from performances of Tadeusz Kantor, such as a box from Shoemakers by Witkiewicz (Paris, 1972) and stage space used in the film Säcke, Schrank und Schirm (1969), recording the third version of the play in the Little Mansion, will feature over twenty images of both artists: emballages Kantor from the 60s and the work of Maria Stangret from this period – all from the collections of several Polish museums, private collections and Cricoteka.

Cricoteka also prepares several separate publications on the works of Maria Stangret and Tadeusz Kantor and the program of events accompanying the exhibition.
