I Shall Never Return – registration of Cricot 2 performance

The performance was recorded between 22 and 24 February 1990 for Television Theatre during the Cricot 2 guest performances in the “Stodoła” Students’ Club in Warsaw organized by Teatr Rzeczypospolitej. The critics considered the play to be Tadeusz Kantor’s artistic biography. Its world première took place in Milan on 24 April 1988, while the Polish viewers were able to see it later at the Stary Theatre (Teatr Stary) in Cracow. The performance stars Tadeusz Kantor as I – In Person who talks about his life and art while the characters from all his plays meet on the stage.
