Jubilee program in Cricoteka

Episode II of the Tadeusz Kantor Exhibition – Childhood, April 6 – January 10, 2016

Another episode of the exhibition dedicated to the memories of a childhood in Tadeusz Kantor art, in connection with the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the artist’s birth.

 

The exhibition of drawings at the Gallery-Studio – The Age of Boyhood
(curators: Malgorzata Paluch-Cybulska and Bogdan Renczyński)

The exhibition will accompany the Episode II of the Tadeusz Kantor Exhibition. In addition to a series of drawings The Boys, the exhibition will present drawings that relate directly to the objects displayed at the exhibition of Tadeusz Kantor art oscillating around childhood. Altogether, more than 50 drawings will be presented.

 

Exhibition of the art of Maria Stangret and Tadeusz Kantor in the centenary of the birth of the artist, April 17 – June 15 2015

Joint exhibition of more than a dozen works of Tadeusz Kantor and his wife, Maria Stangret, painter and leading actress of Cricot 2 Theatre. The exhibition, in addition to the paintings of both artists, will present films, videos and reconstructions of several theatrical objects that no longer exist. The exhibition will be complemented by three publications by Zbigniew Taranienko and Anna Baranowa, Also, an educational program will be prepared.

 

Christian Boltanski Exhibition, July 3 – September 2015

The exhibition is a dialogue of contemporary artist Christian Boltanski with the work of Tadeusz Kantor, in particular with Cricoteka collection which consists of objects theatrical performances from Cricot 2 theatre. Christian Boltanski works in a perverse way question the nature of identity, ways of understanding and presentation of individual experience and collective memory. The artist approaches the utopian concept of Borges’s library or archive with contemporary obsession and saving our lives in different forms. Exhibition will be accompanied by additional program and publication in the form of a guide to the exhibition.

 

Tadeusz Kantor. Cholernie spadam!, October 2015 – January 2016

Exhibition on the issues of the Theatre of Love and Death in Kantor’s art, which also includes paintings and drawings from the years 1986-1990. The exhibition and accompanying events will focus on two directions in the late Kantor’s art: the issue of intimacy (also presented in the context of the figure of the artist) and (closely related) issues of the dummy. The exhibition will be completed with a conference, workshops and screenings.

 

Workshops and meetings with actors of Tadeusz Kantor

Very short lessons project is a series of theatre workshops that will be lead by actors of the Cricot 2 theatre. It aims to recall the hundredth anniversary of the birth of the artist, his achievements and at the same time the presentation of actors’ achievements and individual approach to his legacy. The project is prepared for the acting students and people who want to develop their skills on stage. Six workshops are planned from June to September 2015. The effect of each of them will be presented at the new premises of Cricoteka.
