“The idea of the book I’m Leaving the Light on, I’ll Be Back Soon which was published for the first time in 2005 came from its editor Jolanta Kunowska. The book contained the interviews with the actors who were the core of the ensemble of Cricot2 which remained unchanged in the last decade of its artistic activity and the interviews conducted with the people who worked in Kantor’s theatre for a really short time – but still the consider this experience to be an extraordinary opportunity. Both groups of people decided to tell us about their close encounters with the artist. The book makes it possible for us to get to know Kantor in a nearly personal way, through the lenses of the memories of those who were with him everyday and who were a part of his theatre.”
